ICS Erects New Radio Tower

 On September 8th, 2006 ICS Advanced Technologies installed a new radio tower on the west side of their property. The new tower, which has been in the plans for several months, is 90 feet tall and consists of galvanized steel. After the concrete footings solidified, ICS' own knowledgeable installation team erected the tower in only two hours. This tower will give ICS the capabilities to provide point-to-point internet to clients in and around the east side of Ames.
This new venture follows in the footsteps of another great addition, the installation of OC3 (Optical Carrier Level 3), which increased ICS' bandwidth capability by 155 Mbps. As internet use and bandwidth needs increase, this upgrade insures the stability of ICS' internet services during peak hours, now and in the future. This bandwidth upgrade also grants ICS the opportunity to offer speed upgrades to individual users in the near future.
